Portrait of a young woman, Mary, standing in front of steps leading to barracks at Heart Mountain concentration camp, Wyoming, Winter 1944-1945. Dressed in a skirt and jacket over a blouse, she stands with hands at sides and smiles directly at viewer. Her hair is curled and tied with a ribbon. Some snow remains on the ground, by the steps.
