History
Yoshinori and Shigeo Ideshi, brothers and proprietors of Beverly Blvd., sent thirty-five rose plants to the Emperor and Empress of Japan upon learning of the royal couple's penchant for roses on January 25, 1956. The plants arrived in Tokyo, Japan the day before on February 14, 1956.
