Smiling man in suit, Shigeru Nakamura, the Consul General of Japan, holds two kites to be displayed at the weeklong Japan Festival held in Riverside, California on March 23-29, taken March 6, 1957. Nakamura holds a small kite in the shape of warrior in his proper left hand and a rectangular kite of a crane flying over waves in his proper right. Four other kites are propped up on furniture beside him. Landscape poster in background.
