Studio head and shoulder portrait of Takako Satogami, high school student voted "Coed Colonel" by the Manual Arts High School Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) in Los Angeles, California, October 30, 1958. Smiling young woman in dark top turns slightly to the left as she looks at viewer.

Typed on original negative envelope: Satogami, Miss Takako.

History
The "Coed Colonel" is chosen by the school's ROTC from nominees put out by each girl's club on campus. Satogami was also selected "Annie Artisan" symbolizing typical girl Manualite who then becomes the homecoming queen. (05.01.2008 cht).
