Bonsai class conducted by elderly gentleman, Frank Fusaji Nagata, at his nursery, Alpine Baika Bonsai Nursery, in Los Angeles, California, 1964. Includes portrait of Nagata in sweater and eyeglasses standing next to potted bonsai on a stand, and Nagata teaching bonsai class to an interacial audience with bonsai in background.

History
Frank Fusaji Nagata ran a small bonsai nursery on Jefferson near La Brea called Alpine Baikoen, or Alpine Baika Bonsai Nursery, and was one of the original founders of the Southern California Bonsai Club, which became the Californai Bonsai Society
