Funeral for Hajime Hoshi, member of Japan's House of Councillers who died in the California, at old Union Church in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, California, January 21, 1951. Includes pall bearers carrying coffin, service in church, and women mourners sitting in pew, and a portrait of a young woman in a suit and hat standing next to an elderly man in a dark suit and eyeglasses holding a cane.

Typed on original negative envelope: Hoshi Funeral at Old Union Church.

History
Old Union Church is now the East West Players theater on First and Judge John Aiso Street. Hoshi died of a cerebral hemorrahage en route to Peru. (08.29.2007 cht)
