In foreground, three snowcapped posts with barbed wire run diagonally left to bottom right next to path extending down hill toward rows of barracks in the distance ; smoke issues from three tall smokestacks. Part of one building visible on right side with icicles hanging from eaves of snow covered roof. Barracks on left side diminish in size down the hill. A guard tower sits atop a large hill rising above barracks in background.
