To open the Conference, veterans will be honored with a Heroes Salute, followed by the presentation of colors by the Nisei Veterans Committee (NVC).

Presenters at this general session will discuss the Pacific Northwest’s community activism and the region’s participation in efforts that contributed to the passage of the Civil Liberties Act of 1988. All conference registrants are encouraged to attend to learn more about the region’s rich history and its legacy of civic engagement.

Admission to this session is included as part of conference registration.
