Lori Matsukawa

Lori Matsukawa is an award-winning news anchor with more than 35 years in the television news industry. She reported from Tokyo after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami and has covered stories including the Nisei Veterans Gold Medal Ceremony in Washington, D.C., in 2011; the Winter Olympics in 2010 (Vancouver) and 2002 (Salt Lake City); and Governor Gary Locke’s first mission to China in 1997. Her favorite news story involved pulling 9-Gs in an F-16 in 1999. Ms. Matsukawa graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Communication from Stanford University and an MA in Communication from the University of Washington. She grew up in Hawai`i and was Miss Teenage America 1974.
