Soji Kashiwagi

Executive Producer/Playwright, Grateful Crane Ensemble

Soji Kashiwagi is a Sansei native of San Francisco. He is a playwright and Executive Producer of the Grateful Crane ensemble, a non-profit theater group based in Los Angeles. Since 2011 he has also served as a member of the Pasadena Human Relations Commission. Through his work with Grateful Crane, he has had the opportunity to entertain and educate our community about Japanese American history and at the same time honor the Issei and Nisei who have opened the doors to the successes we enjoy today. He is the son of Hiroshi Kashiwagi, a Nisei playwright and former Tule Lake inmate.
