This workshop will focus on how to collect, interpret, and create personal and community histories, with special emphasis on how to share these findings through various media, such as books, exhibitions, videos, performances, or Web sites. Akemi Kikumura Yano, PhD, CEO at the Japanese American National Museum, will share her experiences as an anthropologist and museum curator using her family’s story from early immigration through their incarceration in Arkansas during World War II to the present.
