For the past two years, K–16 educators from Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah have enthusiastically delved into the Japanese American experience—both nationally and locally—and have developed ways to effectively engage students within their states. These educators have conducted research, authored standards based curriculum, and shared their work with colleagues from across the nation. In this presentation, they will share parts of their curriculum and the invaluable lessons they have learned. Educators attending this session will receive copies of the curriculum when it is completed.
