Impressions: An Artist's View of life at Santa Anita and Amache

The presenter was ten when she was “relocated” with her parents and brother from her Los Angeles home to the Amache Relocation Center in Colorado after a half year at the Santa Anita Assembly Center. Ms. Havey will share a power-point presentation of her watercolors depicting her war-time experiences at these camps and read some corresponding excerpts from her work-in-progress, a creative autobiography funded in part by the Utah Arts Council and the Center for Documentary Arts of Salt Lake City.
