Mr. Kazumitsu Tanaka, Yamagata Representative and Assistant Director of Japan Local Government Center, will introduce prefectural highlights, including the mountain monks (yama-bushi) at the three sacred mountains (Dewa-Sanzan), the beautiful Japan Sea, hot springs, historic temples, the scenic Mogami River, authentic Yamagata sake, and other specialty foods. Yamagata is also home to one of the most famous summer festivals, the Flower Hat Festival (Hanagasa Festival.)
