In these sessions, members of Denver Taiko—the fourth oldest taiko group in North America—will provide demonstrations and hands-on activities that introduce participants to the history of American taiko, the background of Denver Taiko, and the basic elements of playing taiko—including warm-up/stretching routines, etiquette and respect, posture/form, and rhythmic patterns. The workshop will be repeated at 11:00 am.
