This workshop will provide information on organizing and preserving important personal and family records such as immigration documents, birth certificates, diaries, and letters. Learn from a Museum staff member how to handle these items along with complete exercises in arranging and labeling archival records.

Personal Collections: Preserve Your Family History Workshop

Featuring: Grace Murakami, Collections Manager

Learn to preserve family history through managing and caring for precious objects such as family papers, photographs, books, artwork, home movies, videotapes, and clothing. Led by Museum staff member Grace Murakami, this workshop will teach the basics in caring for these items by protecting them from unnecessary damage and ensuring their preservation for generations to come.

Members $5, non-members $11 includes Museum admission.
