GRB4 Girl Scout Program
By popular demand, JANM is continuing to offer occasional programs just for Girl Scouts.
Current, active Girl Scouts of middle-school age and older will enjoy a private viewing of the Giant Robot Biennale 4 exhibition before the museum opens to the public. They can then participate in a zine-making workshop with artist Yumi Sakugawa, whose art is featured in the exhibition. Participants will receive a special JANM patch at the end of their visit.
Free for JANM members; $10 for non-members (scouts and accompanying parents/troop leaders). Limited to 35 attendees. Advance reservations required.
NUNO Textiles Trunk Show
Saturday, November 21–Sunday, November 22
12 p.m.–4:30 p.m.
“Nuno” is the Japanese word for fabric. Since launching in 1984, NUNO Textiles has worked exclusively with weavers and dyers in Japan, combining old practices with new technologies to create textiles that are original, distinctive, and fresh. Today, NUNO designs are highly acclaimed and reside in the collections of major museums around the world.
Just in time for holiday shopping, NUNO presents a trunk show of their world-renowned scarves, shawls, and accessories—perfect gifts for the special people in your life.
