Join us for a special exhibition tour of Crafting History: Arts and Crafts from America's Concentration Camps with curator Kristine Kim. Following the tour, artist Flora Ito will teach participants how to make bird pins out of alternative materials. Appropriate for children ages 10 and up. Fees are $5 for National Museum members and $11 for non-members, includes Museum admission and supplies.
Asian Traditions/Modern Expressions Curator Walk-Through
Join curator Jeffrey Wechsler as he takes us through this groundbreaking and ambitious exhibition of over 150 works of art by Asian American abstract artists working from 1945-1970. Mr. Wechsler will present an in-depth historical and stylistic overview of the significance of the artwork within American art history. Transporation not included, lunch on your own.
