Populated by careening forces and dyspeptic explosions, Megan Williams’ work, as one critic noted, turns the inner outward. In the multi-panel painting installation, Mother Loves, recalls ogling-eyed monsters from the realm of sci-fi comic books, but the artist depicts the formless ogre as gift-bearing mommy. Blow Hard also evokes the sci-fi and apocalyptic depicted an outburst of atomic proportions.

Williams work has been included in exhibitions at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art; The Drawing Center, New York; Orange County Museum of Art; and The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.
