University of Denver Museum of Anthropology Dessert Reception and Open House
Date: Thursday, July 3, 2008
Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Location: University of Denver Museum of Anthropology
During World War II, the University of Denver (DU) opened its doors to Japanese American students, beginning a proud tradition that continues today. This tradition will be celebrated on July 3, 2008 at the DU Museum of Anthropology at a dessert reception and open house. On view is a student curated exhibit that highlights the efforts of different groups who have worked together to preserve Amache, Colorado’s Japanese American internment camp. In particular, the University extends a special welcome to Japanese American alumni of the university. We hope that you and your friends and family can join us in celebrating this enduring community.
Hosts from the University of Denver will meet conference attendees in the Hyatt Regency Lobby at 6:30 p.m. to escort them via light rail to the reception and open house. A second group will leave from the Lobby at 7:00 p.m.
