Adam Schrager

Reporter and Author, 9News

Adam Schrager is the author of The Principled Politician, a biography of former Colorado Gov. Ralph Carr whose stand on behalf of Japanese Americans after Pearl Harbor would cost him his political career. Schrager covers politics for KUSA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Denver, Colorado. He has won numerous journalism accolades, including more than a dozen Emmy awards. He teaches a journalism class at the University of Denver and has conducted dozens of seminars on the impact of the media on politics. Mr. Schrager has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University. He began his career in 1991 with CBS News in London and worked for numerous stations in Wisconsin before moving to Denver in 1999. Mr. Schrager lives in the Denver area with his wife, Cathy, and their daughter, Harper.
