Ernie Doizaki

Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Japanese American National Museum

Since 1982, Mr. Doizaki has been the Chairman of American Fish & Seafood Company. Under his leadership, the company has expanded successfully into new ventures such as specializing in the Japanese Sushi Restaurant market, becoming one of the top three distributors of its kind in Los Angeles. In addition, in 1989, the company began to service the luxury cruise lines such as the Princess Lines and opened plants in Arizona, Florida and Nevada. Active in many charitable organizations, Mr. Doizaki was honored as the “Person of the Year” by the City of Hope in 1994. He is a former Board member of the California Fisheries Institute and the National Fisheries Institute. Mr. Doizaki received his Business degree from the University of San Francisco and attended Waseda University, Tokyo. He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Japanese American National Museum.
