Salvador Gutierrez

Elementary School Educator, San Antonio Independent School District

Salvador Gutierrez is a native born Texan and has lived in San Antonio all of his life. He is a retired public school teacher with thirty-one years of continued service with the San Antonio Independent School District. Mr. Gutierrez earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Education from Our Lady of the Lake University-San Antonio and a Masters of Science Degree from Texas A & M University. He was accepted into the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers in 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2003, and 2005. In 2004, he was the recipient of the KENS-4 ExCel Teacher of the Year for the San Antonio Independent School District. In 2005, he was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award for the Reading and Education Department at San Antonio College.
