Anan Ameri

Director, Arab American National Museum

Dr. Ameri is the Director of ACCESS’ (Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services) Arab American National Museum. Under her able leadership, ACCESS’ cultural arts and educational projects and programs have helped to enhance ACCESS’ reputation nationwide, and also facilitated the establishment of working partnerships with community organizations, museums and educational institutions across the United States. Dr. Ameri holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Wayne State University and was a visiting scholar at Harvard University’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies in 1996. Dr. Ameri has close to thirty years of experience in promoting Arab and Arab American humanities and arts programming. She is an author of several books and articles.
