Director of Program Development, Japanese American National Museum
Lisa Sasaki is the Director of Program Development at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles, CA, where she is responsible for overseeing program and audience development including permanent and temporary exhibitions, the Museum’s collections, and on-site education programs. She also currently serves as the Project Director for the Museum’s James Irvine Foundation’s Artistic Innovation Fund Project, which looks at how a culturally specific museum can respond to changing American demographics. A native of Colorado, Sasaki holds a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from the University of Denver and has worked in the curatorial and museum education fields for the last twelve years.
