July 5 Dinner Banquet Updates as of 6/3/08
We are pleased to announce that Denver Taiko will be performing at the start of the Dinner Banquet and that the Honorable Norman Y. Mineta, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation, has been confirmed as a keynote speaker. This is a ticketed event.

Panelist Updates as of 6/3/08
As of June 3, the following updates have been made to the panelists listed in the registration packet:
- John Christgau will be unable to attend the conference. Karen Ebel will replace him as moderator for the panel Enemy Alien Internment: Human/Civil Rights, the WWII Crystal City Camp, and Contemporary America and Tetsuden Kashima will replace him as moderator for the panel Alien Places and Alien People: Department of Justice Internment Camps During World War II.
- A taiko performance by Kenny Endo, Taiko Artist, has been added to the July 4 Welcome Program and Special Veterans Panel.
- Lisa Itagaki will be unable to attend the conference. Mitchell T. Maki will replace her as moderator for the July 4 Welcome Session and Veterans Panel.
- Allyson Nakamoto has replaced Vicky Murakami-Tsuda as a presenter for the Nikkei Album Workshop on July 6.
- Bobby Okinaka has been added as a presenter for the Nikkei Album Workshop on July 3 and July 6.

Canceled Workshops as of 6/3/08
Unfortunately, the following July 3 workshops listed in the registration packet have been canceled:
- Memory Books: Preserving Your History on July 3. Due to a presenter scheduling conflict, this workshop will not be offered at the conference. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
- Finding Your Japanese American Roots on July 3. This three-hour session will still be offered on July 4 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (note earlier start time) and July 4 from 3-6 p.m.

-Adele Arakawa has been confirmed as the emcee for Banquet Dinner with Keynote Speaker - U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye
- Polly Baca has been added as a panelist to Security, Wartime Anxiety and the Erosion of Civil Liberties
- Roger Daniels is unable to attend the conference. James Hirabayashi will take his place on two panels: Nikkei Incarceration: World War II Assembly, Relocation, Isolation, Segregation, and Internment Camps and Words Matter: Language and the World War II Japanese American Experience
- Roy Ebihara and Frank Hiji have been added as panelists to Stories of Resettlement: Nikkei Nation in Motion, 1942–1965
- Naomi Hirahara has taken the place of Louis Fiset, as the panel moderator for From Camp to Community: Japanese American Health Care
- Tay Kondo has been added as a panelist to Looking Like the Enemy: Japanese American Childhoods during World War II
- Dale Minami has been confirmed as a keynote speaker for the July 5 Morning Plenary Session and as a panelist for The Patriot Act of 2001 and American Democracy: A Town Hall Meeting

Unfortunately, the following July 6 sessions listed in the registration packet have been canceled. However, these sessions will be offered on alternate days:
- Memory Books: Preserving Your History. Instead, this session will be offered on July 3, rsvps are required
- Issei: The Shadow Generation. Instead, this session will be offered on July 3 at 3 p.m., July 4 at 10 a.m. and July 4 at 3 p.m.
