JAPANESE AMERICAN NATIONAL MUSEUM
SUPPORTS SEVERAL JAPAN RELIEF EFFORTS
The Japanese American National Museum wishes to convey its heartfelt condolences to the people of Japan in the aftermath of the destructive series of earthquakes and the deadly tsunami. For the Museum family, the on-going crisis, especially the damaged nuclear reactors, remains a continuing concern, especially for the people in the affected areas.
As a national educational institution, the Japanese American National Museum has determined its best response to this emergency is to direct those individuals who wish to help to several worthwhile relief campaigns. These efforts are developed by organizations familiar to the National Museum:
- 2011 Japan Relief Fund organized by the Japan America Society of Southern California, Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Southern California, and The Rafu Shimpo >>
- The U.S.-Japan Council Earthquake Relief Fund >>
- Japan Business Association of Southern California / JBA Foundation >>
- Music for Relief >>
- The Nippon Foundation/CANPAN Northeastern Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund >>
There are many worthy campaigns besides those listed above. We encourage your support of America’s relief efforts for Japan. Please visit our Discover Nikkei project where we are sharing responses from Nikkei around the world.
