Description
1 kimono : wool ; 59.5 x 26 (center back) in., sleeves 27.25 x 12.75 in., collar 2.375 in.
Mosu (wool) kimono with bold plaid design of large purple squares and fine lines of purple, orange, and yellow on a beige background. Lined with muslin across shoulders and back seat area.
Inscription
Stamped on interior lining, proper left front edge near sleeve: Waimea M Koigawachi.
History
Kimono sewn by Matsue Yoneji when she was 16 years old.
