Tsukasa Kiyono presents a two thousand dollar check donation to Mike Masaoka of the Japanese American Citizens' League (JACL), Los Angeles, California, September 6, 1956. Kiyono, a retired Camellia grower, is an older man in light colored suit standing at left, who gazes right. Masaoka, Washington legislative representative for the JACL, stands at right wearing a tweed jacket and a bow tie and gazes left. Both men wear eyeglasses. World map on wall in the background; Asian continent in center of map.

Typed on original negative envelope: $2000.00 Donation to JACL.

History
Kiyono, an Issei, made the donation in appreciation of what the JACL has done to gain legislation on behalf of persons of Japanese ancestry for the past decade.
