Los Angeles Mayor Sam Yorty leaves Los Angeles with group for Hong Kong with a stopover in Japan on a Los Angeles Trade Promotion tour at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in Los Angeles, California, March 29, 1962. Yorty in suit with light necktie stands with other Caucasian men in suits at entrance to United Airlines airplane; and holding a poster, "Trade or Fade, expanded world markets mean a stronger America", with four other men, including Matao Uriu, Council General of Japan, and Karl Rundberg, Los Angeles Councilman.
