Ronnie Sugiyama, active parent committee leader of Koyasan Troop 379, receives the Boy Scout Silver Beaver award from the Los Angeles Area Council in Los Angeles, Califonia, February 2, 1963. Sugiyama, right, shakes hands with a Caucasian man as both men hold a framed certificate from the Boy Scouts of America to Sugiyama. Both men wear suits and bi-colored ribbons around their necks. Sugiyama has a figure of a beaver at the end of his ribbon.
