Artist Taro Yashima reads his seventh book,"Seashore story", at home, Los Angeles, California, October 24, 1967. Dressed in white t-shirt, white pants and eyeglasses, Yashima sits cross-legged next to a table covered with pots of brushes, toys and the Seashore story book, looking left of viewer and sits in another chair next to cabinet with curios reading his book as he smokes a pipe.

History
The Seashore story, written and illustrated by Taro Yashima, was a children's book published in 1967.
