Four-part Taiko Workshop for Kids

In this four-session workshop, children, ages 6-12, learn the basics principles of taiko. No previous experience needed; however, space is limited and advance reservations are required. Henry Sugimoto’s translated memoirs, brought to life by Academy Award-nominated actor Mako, reveal the artist’s own journey through his life and art. The documentary features his paintings and sketches, rare archival footage, and film of the artist just before his death. Directed by John Esaki 30 minutes
