The reception will also feature an update on the international travel and "homecoming" of the exhibition From Bento to Mixed Plate: Americans of Japanese Ancestry in Multicultural Hawai'i, plans for Bento reunion activities on Maui in February 2004 when the exhibition ends its run at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, and a book signing of reference publications developed through the International Nikkei Research Project by Dr. Akemi Kikumura-Yano, the National Museum's vice president of programs.
