Bid for Education

Body

JANM’s Bid for Education grant program raises money at its Gala Dinner each year to provide free bus transportation and museum admission for more than 17,000 primary and secondary school students from Title I schools and groups who have demonstrated financial need. It also supports K-12 educator workshops, the development of free printed and digital resources for educators, docent recruitment and training, and many other educational initiatives.

In Memoriam

Body

Each year at its Gala Dinner, JANM pays tribute to the members of our community who have passed away since the previous Gala. These remarkable individuals all played significant roles in helping JANM fulfill its mission. The video presentation was accompanied by music performed by Grateful Four, an a capella group of the Grateful Crane Ensemble that tries to connect to their Japanese American culture while giving back to their community through the power of song.
