Artist Katie Yamasaki has painted over 60 murals across the globe. This is a behind-the-scenes look at her newest creation, Moon Beholders in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo neighborhood at the Japanese American National Museum. The mural is located on the north wall of JANM’s National Center for the Preservation of Democracy and was officially unveiled at a public dedication ceremony on November 19, 2014.

Moon Beholders is the first Los Angeles mural for Yamasaki, a Hapa Yonsei (fourth generation Japanese American) artist who grew up in Michigan, but now resides in Brooklyn, New York.
