All members are invited to this exclusive virtual conversation with the author and scholar behind When Can We Go Back to America?: Voices of Japanese American Incarceration during WWII, Susan H. Kamei.

The daughter and granddaughter of incarcerees, Susan H. Kamei volunteered in the redress campaign and served as National Deputy Legal Counsel for the JACL Legislative Education Committee. She teaches a history course at the University of Southern California on the incarceration and its relevance to constitutional, political, and social issues today.

When Can We Go Back to America?: Voices of Japanese American Incarceration during WWII will be available in the JANM Store starting September 7.
