About the Event

ONE PERFORMANCE ONLY!

Friday, June 7, 2024 • 4:30 p.m.

Ron Robinson Theater
Little Rock, AR

Defining Courage is a gripping and emotional journey into the legacy of Nisei veterans, a segregated combat team of Japanese American soldiers that fought during World War II and that remains the most highly decorated unit in US Army history.

Drawing upon decades of filmmaking and investigative journalism as an ABC7 News Anchor,
our performance immerses the audience into the horrifying yet uplifting world of these heroes
who fought prejudice at home and the enemy abroad, yet dynamically persevered.

The performance flies the audience over the World War II battlefields in Italy, France, Germany,
and Japan, in an immersive, multimedia presentation that includes:

  • Powerful storytelling
  • Stunning cinematic photography
  • Live music and choir
  • Historic film and interviews

This masterpiece of innovative storytelling allows you to see, hear, and especially, feel their
incredible heroics. This is not a history lesson. It’s a story of American heroism and courage at
its finest and a demonstration of inner strength as we all go forward and deal with our own
search for courage in today’s world.

“Knew very little of the story going in. Blew me away with the artistry, craft, and storytelling. Much deserved standing ovation at the end…not a dry eye in sight.”—Chris L., Award-Winning Filmmaker

“The story witnessed in Defining Courage is one that sits forever in your soul.”—Kim Godwin, President, ABC News
