改修工事について
JANMの内部施設を再デザインします2025年1月、JANMは1999年のパビリオンの開館以来、最大のアップデートを開始いたします。パビリオンの内部を改修し、当館の核をなす常設展を全く新しいものとして作り直す予定です。これからの２年の間に、JANMは新しい常設展「私たちが今と呼ぶ未来で：レイシズムの現実、民主主義の夢」を制作します。この展覧会は、最新のテクノロジーを活用するとともに、人種や民主主義に関して全米各地で活発に行われてきた議論を踏まえて、日系アメリカ人の物語を伝え方を再構築いたします。第二次世界大戦中の強制収容の歴史を次の世代にも伝えていくため、現在の常設展で親しまれてきた展示物も組み込み、また逆境の中でも、常に変化し続ける未来に向かって闘い続けてきた日系コミュニティーが下した選択に関する新しい物語も取り上げる予定です。パビリオンの改修工事を担うのは、設計事務所のラルフ・アッペルバウム・アソシエイツ、コンサルティング建...
